Our story

How Team Care Came to Life

Born from lived experience and a deep frustration with how care works, Team Care was created to offer something new. Human, flexible, and emotionally safe.

Not Everyone Fits the System

Too many people were being left without the right support because they didn’t meet service criteria or couldn’t engage face-to-face. We saw the cracks, and we stepped in.

Built on Safety and Trust

We started with what matters most: emotional safety, choice, and consistent relationships. Care that adapts to each person. Not the other way around.

Rooted in Real Life

We know Nottingham and the people we serve. We build links with social enterprises, community groups, and healthcare teams to create meaningful local support.

We don’t just maintain people. We help them grow. Through peer support, hobbies, confidence-building, and emotional recovery.

We exist to support people who’ve struggled to connect with traditional services. Our model blends emotional safety, lived experience, and practical care to help people move forward.

We support people to grow with purpose. This includes rediscovering hobbies, joining peer groups, or stepping into the community again.

CQC Regulated Activity

We are fully registered with the CQC to deliver Personal Care, with Kerry McCulloch as the Registered Manager and Nicola Dean as the Nominated Individual.

Governance & QA

Policies, audits, and incident learning loops underpin daily practice. We track themes and close actions to continuously improve quality.

Safeguarding & Whistleblowing

Clear procedures aligned to local authority pathways. We promote a transparent, fair-blame culture where concerns are raised early and acted on.

Training & Supervision

Role-specific induction, a live training matrix, and regular supervision/spot checks ensure competence across PBS, MCA/DoLS, first aid, and more.

Care Planning & Records

Person-centred plans and risk assessments kept live in our digital system so changes, reviews, and outcomes are always up to date.

Compliments & Complaints

Easy to give feedback and raise complaints. We explain next steps and signpost to the Local Government Ombudsman and CQC if needed.

Data Protection

We handle personal information responsibly and in line with GDPR, with privacy notices and secure systems for records and communications.

Social Responsibility

We minimise waste, support local communities, and encourage low-carbon choices across rostering and operations.
