What Peer Support Looks Like
Small Groups. Shared Interests. Real Growth.
Our peer support groups are designed to help people reconnect with themselves and others in a safe, non-judgemental space. It's about confidence, conversation, and community. One step at a time.
Hosted Virtual Groups

Shared Interests & Lived Experience
Groups are matched by hobbies or shared journeys from crochet to chronic illness. No one is expected to perform or explain.
Show Up As You Are
There’s no pressure to speak. You can just listen, wave, or drop a message. It’s all about showing up and feeling safe.
Gentle Routine & Progression
Regular attendance builds structure and trust. Over time, people feel ready to explore more social, creative, or community-based next steps.
Optional Peer Ambassador Pathway
Some participants choose to give back. Helping others as a peer ambassador. This supports self-esteem, purpose, and leadership.
No Referral Needed
You don’t need a diagnosis or paperwork to take part. Just curiosity, a bit of courage, and a message to say you’re interested.
Why Peer Support Works
This model is grounded in safety, routine, and shared humanity. We focus on emotional connection and lived experience, helping people feel seen, supported, and ready for what’s next.
Emotional Safety First
Before people can reconnect with others, they need to feel safe. Our groups provide a calm, non-judgemental space where people can just be. No pressure, no expectations.
Routine Builds Confidence
Showing up regularly, even just to listen, helps build structure and self-worth. Over time, that consistency leads to greater trust and social confidence.
Shared Stories Reduce Isolation
Being around others who’ve been through similar things reminds people they’re not alone. It fosters connection and gives people permission to grow.
Support, Not Therapy
These aren’t clinical sessions. They’re safe, human spaces where growth happens naturally, through friendships, hobbies, and mutual support.
Becoming a Peer Ambassador
Some participants choose to take the next step. Helping others along the way. Peer Ambassadors are people with lived experience who guide, support, and uplift newer members in our groups.
Grow Into the Role
There’s no pressure to become a Peer Ambassador. But if the time feels right, we’ll support you with confidence-building and mentoring.
Support Others on the Journey
Peer Ambassadors help create a safe, encouraging space by sharing their own story and checking in with newer group members.
Build Confidence and Purpose
Helping others can strengthen your own recovery journey. Ambassadors often report stronger self-worth, purpose, and pride.
Opportunities to Shape the Service
Peer Ambassadors may be invited to co-design future group offers, host taster sessions, or share feedback that shapes our service.
